Karen Hinds is founder and CEO of Workplace Success Group, a global training and strategic consulting firm that works with organizations to cultivate and retain their next generation of leaders. For the last twenty years, she has served as a trusted advisor to C-Suite executives committed to building talented leaders and inclusive cultures where every employee can thrive and make an impact. Through her work with the Caribbean Development Bank and Dods Training from the United Kingdom, Hinds has facilitated leadership programs with government leaders from 19 Caribbean and South American nations. Originally from the Caribbean Island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, she left the island at age 15 with her parents and siblings to pursue educational opportunities in the United States. The transition to a new country, culture and school made it imperative for Hinds to learn how to quickly adapt to change, thrive as an outsider and build strategic relationships. She regularly shares her experiences in her keynotes and workshops as she teaches on leadership, diversity, and inclusion, and adapting to change. Hinds is the author of five books, including Get Along, Get Ahead: 101 Courtesies for the New Workplace; Networking for a Better Position & More Profit; and A Young Adult’s Guide to the Global Workplace. A prolific contributor to publications such as The Hartford Business Journal, The CIM Toronto Manager, The Boston Globe, Black Enterprise, to name a few, Hinds is frequently quoted or invited as an expert on radio, television, and podcasts.
Devon O’Nalty
Senior Manager for Workplace Inclusion
AVANGRID
Devon O’Nalty is the Senior Manager for Workplace Inclusion at AVANGRID. In his role, he serves as a strategic business partner with talent acquisition in establishing comprehensive and measurable recruiting strategies that are aimed to increase diverse representation, build community connections in and outside of AVANGRID, all while removing barriers while promoting equitable opportunities. O’Nalty began his career with AVANGRID in 2019 as the Manager of Labor Relations for all Connecticut territories. In his spare time, he serves as the Diving Coach for Fairfield University and volunteers for several organizations, including the University of Connecticut’s HR Management Black Student & Alumni Union and Marist Alumni Recruiting Team. O’Nalty holds a MS in HR Management from the University of Connecticut, a MS in Management and Organizational Leadership from Albertus Magnus College, and a BA in Communications from Marist College.
